While the European TAG has bailed out of the tournament the mostly Dutch TAG will be facing Impact Gaming in perhaps one of the first matches between two contenders for the top here at the Antwerp eSports Festival.
As predicted by many, both teams took home their first match without too much hassle, however they are now in for a match which will require a lot more effort for both teams to take home than their first. With the strong British trio of "newschoolers"
Meez,
R0SS and oldskooler sqzz we are quite in for a treat from Impact, especially when you add an experienced powerhouse riflenader such as
XyLoS. Topping off the Impact side is
hayaa who made recently made his major breakthrough to the upper echelons of the W:ET scene.
Meanwhile TAG.AEF feature a lineup composed of several well known Dutch players (and as we all know: If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much) who have played for TAG in the past, adding a TAGgy Frenchy in the shape of
douille.
When comparing a team such as Impact Gaming with a mix like TAG.AEF it's easy to guess Impact will take home this match with ease. And while indeed I can hardly call TAG.AEF a favorite to win the event, you can't deny their lineup looks pretty strong and I wouldn't say Impact are even close to having this match in the bag already.
