Moviemaking program? HD 920p

Yo crossfirem8's im fucking tired of this Windows Movie Maker and i want make movies with REAL quality. Is there any program which working similar to WMM but lets you create video HD? Give some advices plz :)

like rossko, sony vegas for the fresh blood, there is also adobe prime / adobe after effects etc

Go and follow either bltz or hannes' movietutorial both are great (and they both use Sony Vegas)
