a friend of me got this.
he is using windows 7 on his laptop acer travelmate 6592.
and he downloaded ET via the ultimate installer!

how to get rid of this?

he needs some older gfx-drivers, since the new ones create these texture-bugs.

Update to the latest Nvidia/ATI drivers.

Wrong, in case of ATI, downgrade to 10.4 drivers.

As virtu said, he needs some older drivers. I had the same problem.
