EC clans part 3?

Hey,

after the pre-EC ET-cup I would like to see the opinions of you guys about who is EC worthy or not. I think a lot of clans showed they lack skill (or teamplay) and others showed what they're worth. Considering there are no new cups before sunday (except for the one day cup mix stuff) I think nothing can influence the outcome of the selections anymore.

(made this journal because I enjoy reading people's opinion)

inc, overdose, o8,qla6 and murso played well in et-cup.
mq played nice too, but in my opinion they were more a mix than a stable team. thats why i wouldn't invite them to ec :<

morrigu is not a mixed team, in fact the lineup that plays for morrigu also played under the SPRD name and before in June with the mQ tag. I played with them + saw them playing and they are EC worthy imo, at least over some other teams such as illusion which are much more of a mix than morrigu ... :]

The only obvious invites are Europe zeroPoint! and Europe idle.ee, the rest is a bit hard to tell.. Europe aMenti has made a huge step back when they lost vs Europe uQ.Gaming two weeks ago, however they have a name so they will be in this EC I guess, same to uQ.Gaming who need to train a lot to be EC worthy.
Europe one4one has been doing very well lately and finaly have a bit stable lineup so I think they will get an invite as well. Europe cdap - pi has played very well 5on5 but they haven't shown much in 6on6 yet, but because they were so good at 5on5 I guess they will get an invite.
Sweden OverDose has been a scary opponent and will get an invite to this EC as well I guess.. Finland Incomplete came out of nowhere but proved themselve worthy with ease.. Europe kojak has been there for quite a while so I expect them to get an invite as well, while I think Belgium violence is bad wasted their invite because they lost so many important matches lately.. Qlasics have proven themselves worthy in the last few weeks in the crossfight and ET-Cup #18 so I guess one of my wishes in finaly coming trough (having an ET team in the EC)
Poland Fear Factory and Poland NetRunners are the polish powerhouses so I think they will both get an invite as well. Europe Morrigu was strong last year and they are strong again and will get an invite as another european team.. Sweden noll8 are oldskool so they will get an invite.. Germany HighBot are very strong this time so they will star in EC also this time I guess. Germany Team - Helix are a very strong german opponent as well who have beaten many of europeans top teams.
And what would EC be without some israelians? So the last spot goes out to Israel eSrael I guess

I know what wildcard is i'm just wondering why is that so... For example, we have been around for pretty long here,and we have 6 players,we also achieved something,in our last 2 matches we beat both noll8 and dfiance + it was close vs morrigu. We need 1 more guy to be 100% active,and we won't take any random guy that seems to have "good aim" for example...so we are waiting for someone who is reliable,stable and loyal player. And still,by your opinion mQ and iL is above us(let me remind u,razz and fost just left when they lost their 1st offi in ET-Cup...And I doubt they are still alive).

Is that maybe because we didn't do xfire newspost...or we didn't play @ ETTv?

And btw(this goes for all),it's not just about the clanname and players. When someone sees a team with players like razz,senti,fost,xylos everyone will say that they are EC worthy,allthough they wont even be alive for 1 month...still,there are some players which are more stable,they have almost the same amount of skill but they won't get a chance.

Let's say...aMenti,they are living on the fame which Team-ND aka Goliath has...and a lot of people will say: " Amenti,they are pretty good,they were 2nd last EuroCup".
But who is now actually playing for aMenti from ex Team-ND?
I can only see aCoZz and dAv1d playing for aMenti now,rest joined much l8r before that EC or joined less than month ago...
So what did they achieve with this lineup? A big nothing. Yet,clans like diversus will still be "under" them by people opinion...allthough they are playing together for a really,really long time..

Well dunno,I didn't understand it as u think maybe...There is a big problem this season and that is the thing that there won't be EC Qualis.With it it would be much easier. Because,about 10-12 clans that should get invite and rest 6-10 clans should play qualifiers. Its hard to have exact top16 clans playing this EC.

And thats what I was talking about...half of our matches havent been broadcasted...lets say,last 2 wins vs noll8 and dFIANCE weren't broadcaster,and match vs mQ which was really close...

first of all @ sainted , by having a bad day and losing a match at 1 cup doesnt make you less worthy of a good EC team. This cup was a chance for certain teams to prove themselves ,we (Belgiumvib) have proven ourselves enough lately imo to let the cb admins decide what's right, so my 16

vib is a great clan but as I said you have not been achieving a lot lately, I think you are EC worthy but there are only 16 slots I guess.. Anyway you might all be right about eSrael, they are the best israelian clan atm but they havent achieved much lately either..

Anyway I think murso is not EC ready yet, but the next EC is in like 5 months already?

There is a lot of romance in the ET scene causing multigaming clans to get an easier invite to EC if one of their teams have done any major achievement in the past, or the team has been in EC every year and people don't want to see the tradition broken. I'm not saying this is fair, but it's the way it is, and normaly qualifiers would decide who is ready for EC, but this EC only has direct invites which makes it hard to choose romance or reality.

OverDose 4th place ET-Cup 18
aMenti 2nd place EC XIII
uQ 1st place EC XII, 6th EC XIII (I know this is a totaly different uQ but I think when a team is part of a multigaming clan which has achieved major things in the past they have more chance of getting an invite for the eurocup)

well german clans can use their german flag no mather which sqd is playing for them while other nations clans are forced to use the flag of their sqds nation. its simple :)

could you explain me why mQ is a mix in your eyes? because we only played with 1 merc each game, the rest is part of our clan. + toxic and perfo have played with mQ a long time.

It was just that we couldnt arrange our games so some ppl couldnt play. we got 6 ppl + a back up. This dates were just bad for us. In EC you can actually arrange your game yourself with the other team so this kind of things will not happen as much as it did at ET-cup.
