I work at music festivals and even the money-obsessed organisers would cancel the festival sooner even if it means making a loss. Better to lose some $$$ than human life, tragic :(

This was that situation at the last festival I was working at, production had to call it off for safety and they've lost thousands and many were disappointed, but atleast everyone is safe.

The organizers didn't even claim their condolences for the victims/families of the victims, he just said that Pukkelpop would probably continue.

In my experience the bigger festivals are run for the money, whereas some of the smaller ones are run by some genuinely nice people.

then you're talking about really really small festivals.. cause the main goal of 99% of festivals is making money.. ofcourse the organisers also want to have fun etc
