the phalanx tactic was a popular method of fighting with the macedonians and probably also the other greeks.
altough it's normally done with long speers and not with swords afaik

king leonidas really exist.

spartan soldiers (hoplits) are told to be the best fighting soldiers there was ... back then. .

what does bug me is that Achiles and his gang in Troya
fought the sameway like the spartans in 300 have fought.
the 1vs1 of achiles/prince hector.. achiles fought like
the spartans ..but achiles was not from sparta, was he??

the movie is awesome. again a kickass comic film adaption!..

i have the comic novelle's from frank miller.
the movie is almost a 1 to 1 copy. just like sin city!

I liked the story more altough the action in 300 was better.
And ofcourse all the characters from Sin City were awesome ! You gotta love marv and the yellow bastard :D:D

they all rule rly ! it's so nice how they did the black&white and some colours just stand out. eg: the blue eyes of one of the whores, the yellow colour of the yellow bastard and the white sunglasses of that sick murdering kid
