actually it's just some fagzor teams who would not even try to play an offi if they had to play with 1 or 2 backup players / mercs ( just because some players of them think it's cool to go out / have some RL meanwhile ).
these are NO excuses.
Are you really serious about this?
So you mean people shouldn't go out, abandon their real life friends just because their clanleader arranged an official that day?
Not every clanleader asks their members if they are available you know.
Yes I am serious about this. It the same as if I'd not attend to any tennis tournament i gotta play. If you choose to play in a "highskilled" clan you should be willing to play when you got to.
sorry, the most laughable thing is that some guy who has to use cheats to be cool in virtual life is trying to tell me that i am a no lifer just because i take gaming serious ( like other hobbies ). you are just some RL faking wanksters who try to distinguish themself by pointing at some guy ( me ) and more or less telling him that playing games is not c00l. you gotta be some really cool guy IRL, evan.
use cheats to be cool ? LoL please, most if not all people (including myself) cheated cause it was fun and i wanted to make cod2 more fun for me, people take drugs and under age drink irl because its fun even though its against the law. The rest of your bullshit is enough to make anyone laugh really. I play a stupid amount of games myself and I will never look down on someone who takes gaming seriously, and for your information I study Computer games technology at uni just to cement the point how seriously myself take gaming. If you cant see the use of having a wildcard (yes only 1) then really we will never see eye to eye. I don't pretend to be cool or try to be anything other than my normal self on the internet so pls just think before saying shit like that.
ok, so just answer those questions then and think what i've written so far. it's just always amusing me that guys who spend hours and hours to check crossfire.nu for recent posts or threads keep argueing that gaming is nothing to take serious. if i had to play any offis and wanted to meet with some guys IRL i just told them that i'll be a bit late. and who cares if you got to play with 1-2 mercs / backup players. teams know when they have to play their matches and if they can't show up with their main lineup or the lineup they'd like to play with, they simply have to accept a forfeit loss.
you, as someone who also attended lans, do you think your clanmates should take gaming serious? especially CPC2 made me laugh - there were so many guys who said "yeye, sure, i'll be coming" and left their teams alone in the very end. this is all caused because they don't take it too serious.
gaming is something you should never take too seriously unless u actually live with it which wont happen if u play ET. missing a night out with friends because of some ET pracc or official is just retarded.
"oh you got ur birthday and I forgot it, sorry I cant come cuz I got official @ ET."
as mentioned by mig, we are talking about EC clans. these teams consist of players who have to spend a significant amount of their spare time on gaming. the match schedule should be common to them. we both are of the opinion that those players should take their hobby "gaming" serious ( at least this is what you said in the phrase i quoted ).
i've been playing tennis on a competitive level for years. if you have to participate in a tournament, you can't just say:"no, sorry, i'll go out with some friends". same goes for high level gaming. these actions ( lead by what those vib retards had done some weeks ago ) are the reason why "gaming" simply won't be ever accepted as something serious.
wildcards are afaik only used in EC matches so there wouldnt really be such a great skill difference
i dont know if the matches are forced or if the teams are allowed to choose a day but i think that if u want to play EC u should take it a bit more serious...its only my opinion
imo those making the mistake are not the players who decide to go out, but the leaders/managers who schedule a game without asking all the players if they are available. then again, if a player first says he's available and then decides to go out, it is lack of responsibility.
agreed :) what i mean by lack of responsibility is not going out instead of playing - not at all. it's putting your teammates - who i think would be friends of yours - in an uncomfortable position.
You sir, are a selfish twat.
I'm hot today.
Hi btw :o how r you doing?
these are NO excuses.
So you mean people shouldn't go out, abandon their real life friends just because their clanleader arranged an official that day?
Not every clanleader asks their members if they are available you know.
Just my opinion tho ..
evan didn't cheated because he wanted to be cool in that game, he cheated because he wanted to make the game more enjoyable.
He made a wrong discicion, yes, but are you perfect?
you, as someone who also attended lans, do you think your clanmates should take gaming serious? especially CPC2 made me laugh - there were so many guys who said "yeye, sure, i'll be coming" and left their teams alone in the very end. this is all caused because they don't take it too serious.

you should really try not to contradict yourself within 10 minutes.

Gamers can use that option even more, because they have something like a wildcard so why should they take it more seriously?
But If you think about the fans and people betting on the matches, yes, the should take it more seriously.
It really depends on trough who's eyes you are watching.
imo that would be perfectly ok.
i dont know if the matches are forced or if the teams are allowed to choose a day but i think that if u want to play EC u should take it a bit more serious...its only my opinion
But average ET-players age is 15, maybe 16 years old, so thinking that they will act mature and never make mistakes is not logic.
but the game will not be played today thats y i said that its cancelled
