so the phone rings and I notice a 0800 number.. I stare at it for like 2 seconds thinking

oh fuck, not another company ringing me up trying to sell my something

but I decide to pick it up so I can tell them where to go

starts off "can I talk to mr or mrs williams"

so I reply, Hi, i'm not interested in your product, can you simply remove me from any lists you have that contain this number

next thing I know, the guy is saying

"sure thing mr williams, I'll do it right away, also let me get the name of something which you can get your number removed from all companies like this one"


I'm like wtf why is this employee of a company that does cold calling to sell products being so helpful and actually advising me on HOW TO HELP ME STOP GETTING SUCH SHITTY CALLS?!

I was lie...nice one mate XD and then was all friendly.

All you need to do is just ask to remove from the list and they usually do it.
Unless you're me and like to take advantage of them and try backfiring their calls o/

Some weeks ago, a girl called me with a private number (mostly commercials etc). So she introduced her self and told me she was of some kind of energie company. So asked me if Mr. Diepenmaat was at home, I told her: "No he's not at home" So then she tells me We won some kind of lottery and she hang up.

i once had soem weird arab (no company whatsoever), trying to buy water from my dad. i didnt understand him totally because his german was so poor but still i found it scary and extremely funny at the same time
