McLaren will not be punished over their possession of confidential Ferrari data after Formula One racing’s governing body, the FIA, decided there was no proof that the team had made use of the information.


so, Alonso and more importantly Hamilton are safe...

Sponsors wouldn't agree with that.
It would mean that a huge sponsor like Vodafone (McLaren) would have far less chance to be seen (on tv) because some Spyker car could easily ride in front than.
