OK, i think i'm in need of a new monitor, my current CRT monitor is fine but the max it goes is 100hz and that's a major disadvantage for gaming right? How much can i buy monitors that go up to 200hz or something?
Thanks, Benny.
Thanks, Benny.
Definitely the best option is to boost CRT-monitors refreshrate. I have 7 years old CRT and with factory settings this is only capable of 85hz maximum. :D With Powerstrip I can get 120+hz @ 640x480, 110hz @ 800x600, 95hz @ 960x720 and so on. :P I myself use 100hz @ 640x480 when playing. :)
The best is that this program is absolutely free! :D With donation you can get the annoying "Tip of the day"-thingie from the start away.
I doubt that it would help tft / lcd-monitors otherwise than adding custom resolutions. :P
just a bit more tweakings for nvidia cards

But not all, so if you want to find out which refresh rate is the optimal at a given resolution read the manual (and install the monitor drivers).
And, it's nearly impossible to get a CRT these days.
(to information my monitor is 85hz@1280x1024 and 100hz@1024x786)
but 125fps / 120hz is way smoother.
and with 100/100 atleast it feels like its harder to shoot warpers
plus i hate 100fps , its not smooth enough
for me , its more important that i have smooth game so i use 125fps
