I;ve been using irc for a while but I never bothered to ask.

-What are bouncers
-Why do lots of people keep saying the exact name(with also tags)

- With a BNC (bouncer) you'll keep idling mIRC even when you're offline.
- on 2nd I think you mean smthng like #jos?
Tey say it because they want ppl in their channel

just type few first letters of the guys nick u want to chat with and press tab.

write the first part of someones name and press tab, it autocompletes it and highlights them

you need to check your irc options

preferable use a script like noname script :)

use nnscript so you can enable a beep or a popup when someone highlights you
