Running application benchmarks on a clean installation of XP SP2 and then updating to SP3, the performance results are near enough identical.

stay on sp2, it has less bugs than 3 and is more stable ..i had major hdd probs with 3 and i had to partition and format my hdd coz of it

be carefull cus sometimes sp3 blocks or give problems with programs like pb. As my pc. But generally it works fine.

do not install sp3

it works on most pc's without problems, but if it doesn't you're screwed :D
