Finland has the 4th - 5th strongest league on its own, so... But they are trying to make EU/CCCP -league which would compete like NHL, I so hope they will get it to work <3

And btw, Latvians at icehockey :DDDD

This year for Latvian hockey is just plain catastrophe. But no worries - if we can beat the strongest teams in KHL with 4:1 (St. Petersburg SKA), I'm pretty sure that we won't stay in the end of the group after all .. we just need .. change ^^

Well, tbh. You got only few world class players, though you are one of the best "small countries". Too small population to make it, just like Finland... :(

You mean like S. Ozolins, which should retire already? Or R. Ivanans who's useful only then when it comes to fighting? :) I'd rather see them NOT playing in Latvia national team or Riga Dinamo - enough of those old grandpas on ice. Let the young ones play! Hurr hurr hurr!

Well, I know them, but first what comes to my mind are Irbe, Skrastins and Fandul. Haven´t got any idea about your younger ones.

Irbe retired, Fanduls AFAIK also, Skrastins is the only one there left .. :) Youngsters are nonames at the moment, but some of them show a lot of potential, if only they would be allowed to play just as much as the old ones .. :)

4. Elitserien
5. SM-Liiga

NLA and Elitserien could switch places tho, not sure which one should be rated higher

top teams from SM-Liiga have been playing really well against other European top teams though, but when it comes to number of attendance, money and attraction, SM-Liiga is way behind the others
