The third and final day of DreamHack Winter 2011 is well under-way and all of the major tournaments are approaching the final stages, with the Heroes of Newerth tournament already reaching a conclusion. Below is a summary of the competitions, including the latest gaming news from the best games.

StarCraft II[/u]The SC2 tournament at DreamHack Winter 2011 is down to the final 4. There have been plenty of shocks as the enigmatic
IdrA took an early exit, losing out in the group stages to EG team-mates
HuK and
PuMa. French Zerg
Stephano also dropped out in the groups as he was upset by
Sheth and
ClouD.In the RO16, MLG: Providence finalist
NaNiwa was knocked out by the formidable
DongRaeGu and
HuK was upset 2:0 by
Seiplo. The last remaining EG member,
PuMa went on to defeat
DongRaeGu in the RO8 to set up a semi-final with
NightEnD who had defeated
SaSe and fan-favourite

CounterStrike 1.6[/u]The CounterStrike 1.6 tournament is also down to it's final 4 competitors. The two tournament favourites
Na'Vi and
SK-Gaming met in the quarter-finals and the Ukranian's edged out a victory in a truly astonishing game.
Na'Vi never led the game in the first 46 rounds but finally took the lead in the 47th round and they took the map and the series in the 48th round. It's been said already that this was one of the best games in the history of Counter-Strike. Elsewhere,
