IPL4 SC2 Day 1

GROUPPLAY
IPL needed a bit of a warmup, with the start having some sound issues, but after all that was fixed, IPL unleashed all of it's games in fury. Starting with Group A, where everyone was curious to see whether Zerggod NesTea still could live up to his name or if he really was on the downfall. Well impress he did, in two very quick games he first 2-0'd aLive and then 2-0'd TAiLS, where he looked as scary as before being maxed in both games around the 11/12 minute mark.
After that fnatics aLive beat TAiLS 2-0 to make the group look like [bthis[/b]]1. NesTea 2-0

After that it was the GrandpaToss his turn to take on the current best player in the world MarineKing and eventho WhiteRa. MKP took this game quite convincly with 2-1 after again some sloppy games from WhiteRa. The most anticipated series of the day didn't dissapoint. MarineKing and Stephano played the full 3 games with the frenchman coming out ahead in game 1 and the King of Marines taking game 2. Game 3 was just as good as the first two with both players showing incredible ammount of skill but Stephanos choice for ultralisk didn't turn out to be the best and he had to give up the series leaving this group looking like [bthis[/b]]1. Group C was the group of the players letting the other one win. So gave PuMa kindly his leads away versus Polt and MC and so did MC against Polt. Tho the last one did look the most dominating in this [bGroup[/b]]1. Polt 2-0

Eventho IdrA is 0-2 in Group D he looked very strong in all but one of his games, giving the foreign fans hope for day 2. Bomber went on to beat both IdrA and MMA to end first in his group, while MMA beat IdrA 2-0 leaving the group looking like [bthis[/b]]1. Bomber 2-0

The big story of the Open Bracket was the unknown female player Scarlett beating big names like BumblebeePrime, DeMusliM and DdoRo only to fall short in a game she had won versus Code S Protoss Oz. The other suprise came from a 16 year old Terran Illusion who beat beat 3 Code S players from each race, Ryung, Zenio and Oz in an impressive run trough the bracket, only to be stopped by PvT speciallist Creator. From all foreigners HuK came closest to qualify for pool play by just losing the last loser bracket finals to Curious who made sure that only koreans would come out of the open bracket. Pretty much as expected.
