CG AUS.ET Community Draft Cup #2

The Australian/New Zealand ET community hasn't had enough after the success of our first ever ET draft cup and we were all extremely keen to get straight back into it. Our Second Community Draft Cup was announced a couple weeks ago and this week we see our freshly picked teams battle it out in round one of the CG AUS.ET Draft Cup # 2!

We have four exciting games lined up for you this week with each one being broadcasted on GamesTV with live streaming audio video casts from our very own admin and mc biggz.

DRAFT CUP #1 RECAP

With the end of the aus/nz.et community's first draft cup we had seen great activity among the scene over the past 14 games. Team.Volta went undefeated through the tournament dropping only a couple of rounds. The grandfinal saw volta's team take on Team.MiDAS on the maps of supply, goldrush and radar.
MiDAS's team came out really strong and destroyed team.volta on the first map of supply, but were unable to hold them off on goldrush, avoiding a repeat of the last time the two teams met which resulted in a double full hold.
The match went to a tiebreaker and Team.Volta won the toss, electing the classic map radar, and set a very sexy time of 4.32. Team.MiDAS came very close at the end almost securing both docs in their final push, but swerve managed to whip out a huge knife kill on the west doc carrier in the dying seconds of the round.

THE TEAMS

The previous captains biggz, Im_constructing, MiDAS, dongo, volta, meadow, Chevron and Chiver all dropped their (c)'s for a new batch of leaders to step up and take charge.

DRAFT CUP #2 - ROUND ONE

BRACKETS

Oldschool superstar and Modus Operandi player shaggy aka mayonegg, steps up to the plate as a captain to share his experience, wisdom and knowledge of the great game and really show us young ruffigans exactly how he was able to outmatrix mAus in the Nations Cup all those years ago.
Converted Australian RTCW player Bishy raised his hand to become a captain and give himself a chance to let everyone know what he can bring to the table. As long as his net stays unstable, he should be able to warp through the opponents defences and lead his team to victory.



Australian superstar riCo nominated himself as a captain to take control of his team and this cup. His beast aim and heavy damage dealing will lead his team through the thick and thin of this cup.
metal will no doubt be drawing from his experiences of being a part of the Draft Cup #1 champions Team.Volta and provide some invaluable strategic approaches to the game. If he can remember everything volta taught him and his back isn't too sore from the deadlifts he does before each game he should be able to carry his team with some clutch plays.


Millan's decision to quit his job and leave his friends and family in europe behind to pursue an ET career down under may have at first seemed a bit risky, but very quickly we have seen the swedish superstar rise the ranks and secure a place among the prestigious captains of this Australian draft cup. If his team can understand him and his crazy euro strats then he definitely has a shot at taking the crown.
Old school GameArena and dre superstar Witface will be a big threat in this tournament. After a couple glasses of red this guy becomes an absolute machine and as long as his comms aren't too slurred during game time, we may seem good action from his team.


Proclaimed #1 smg eng in aus Pedro retakes captaincy this time around after he lost it to meadow in the previous cup when he turned up too late to the pick.
He'll be looking to show the world how things should have gone the first time around if he was leading the pack.
Pakeha makes history as the first New Zealander to captain in a draft cup. As the #1 eng in NZ his brute landmining skills and top blokeness should prove valuable in leading his team in the weeks to come.
