The newly-born multigaming clan FatGames has today opened its doors to recruit a brand new Enemy Territory team. The team has a capable lineup featuring many experienced players, and will be looking to participate in the ClanBase EuroCup, the ESL Master Series, and any future LAN events. With a lineup oozing with EC experience we are confident that our veteran team will be able to be a strong competitor in the aforementioned cups.
Management: Andreas 'Krosan' E.
ET lineup: Seán 'sol' W. Tore 'urtier' T. Michal 'kot' S. Tarvo 'Holz' V. Przemyslaw 'etsi' B. Jakub 'S4rna' S.
Following a rather weird accumulation of facts earlier this month, where modus announced he'd rather not play with OVERLOAd but continue his journey elsewhere and other players not to sure about playing with the OVERLOAd team, the remaining players have decided to take a look at the current Dutch ET scene to decide how to fill the gaps made by departuring players.
M1lk and I had a session of brainstorming in which only really smart players could participate (which unfortunately left the two of us since the rest are mongols). We rejoiced as we heard of various pwners still being clanless and after hearing modus wanted to rejoin our sperm was spraying everywhere.
I am proud to present the following lineup which hopefully will take part in this EuroCup (dependant of whether we'll get a qualifier or not, lulz):
BuLL (OVERLOAd) M1lk (OVERLOAd) foSt (OVERLOAd) spho (hardMethod gaming) modus/joerii (hardMethod gaming) mize (aegruS) perfo (The Last Resort)
Two of CoD2's biggest names have come in to rescue two of CoD4's biggest teams! The dutch duo of Sko and Solz (SAS get it?) have returned to the scene in a bid to salvage the hopes of Dignitas and Serious respectively.
Sko's joining Dignitas comes at the expense of Luckzar who was the likely candidate for Mick's mighty axe after CDC4. The slovenian sensation had apparently caused some uproar within the team when just before CDC he announced that he had to focus on school and couldnt practice as much, that combined with Mick's fondness of Rafa Benitez's squad rotation policy cost him his place in the team.
His replacement Sko is a hero in his own right, and joins as ingame leader. Sko joining as ingame leader should offer the team a fresh train of thought allowing them to move in a new direction, and possibily allow Mick to find his best form once again.
Solz rejoins Serious Gaming at the expense of Roman and the man who at shGopen and CPC2 guided his team to huge LAN victories returns to settle the team down once again. Their CDC4 performance was weak to put it politely and only Solz charismatic charm can galvanise what is still a very skilled roster.
It was inevitable that both rosters would roll the changes, however they've both picked up two real top notch stars to better their teams.
The biggest ETQWPRO update to date has just been released featuring gameplay improvements, game fixes and some additions. The focus of fourth public release is to polish old features, work against full holds on certain maps and make the community rule set as automatic as possible, making it easier to follow. A lot of the features in the update were used in the CDC4 build of ETQWPro and at the people at the LAN seemed very happy with them.
And with this major update we hope that people that have quit ETQW will come back and try out the mod. Because we are getting closer and closer to ETQW as it should have been from a competitive perspective. And we have gone a long way in improving all sides of the gameplay. ETQWPro is a lot more about skill through precise aiming, more balance and less about spam / vehicle dominance. So if you ever tried ETQW and felt it was too spammy, aiming was off or that you felt the balance didn’t work in competition we recommend you try ETQWPro 0.4.
And as a teaser I can tell you that there are already some features ready to be implanted into ETQWPro as soon as they are balance tested properly. So you can look forward to more big ETQWPro updates this spring.
ETQWPro gathers
The gather channel #qw.gather on quakenet is running ETQWPro gathers around the clock in both 4on4 and 6on6. So if you just want to test out the mod this is an excellent option. Each week more than 120 gathers are played, that’s more than 15 gathers each day.
With impact having just announced their new lineup, many thought the competition for the EC gold was over. Then we saw the return of the epically titled megaproesports, raising questions of who this title belonged to. However, an even more epically titled team by the name of kirwa kirwanderin kirwurit has made will make it's presence known upon this day ladies and gentlemen, a presence consisting of the following:
Tonight the two last quarter finals of the Clanbase Nationscup for ETQW will get underway with the royal power of Sweden taking on the freezing and oh so drunk force of Finland in the first match. In the second match we got team UK trying to get back at Italy for its friendly climate and after a long winter the British will surely be bitter. And if watching these two matches on ETQW-TV wasn't enough to get you through the night, I will do my casting debuted for ETQW. (In English) If I end up failing in the shout cast I would still recommend everyone to tune in as I am very bad at handling failures and either way it should be an entertaining cast. I will try to cast both matches, but if Sweden vs Finland turn out to be a long match I will stay in it.
This weekend the Level7 OpenCup took place, a Call of Duty 4 LAN event housing 18 Finnish Call of Duty 4 teams including big names such as Epsilon, Team Logitech and k1ck.fi. After Logitech and Epsilon both ended 9/16th last week at the Crossfire Devotii Challenge 4 a large part of the community was looking forward to finally see these two big names clash against each other.
The results in the group stage were pretty straightforward, in group A Insidae took first and Emprisa took second, in group B the first position was taken by Afterlife and F*Angry Policemen took the 2nd place, group C was won by Epsilon eSports and kooma247 took second and finally group D was won by k1ck eSports while Logitech took second. The most surprising result during the group stage was probably k1ck winning versus Logitech 13 to 10.
Group D:
1. k1ck eSports club (.fi)
2. Team Logitech
3. Random Gaming
4. WHOIS?
Now it was time for the playoffs, the tournament featured a double elimination bracket. Some interesting results took place such as Emprisa beating Epsilon eSports, Loitech bashing Afterlife 13 to 1 and also k1ck playing a losers bracket match of their life and winning 13-3 versus the Epsilon guys kicking them out of the tournament.
After k1ck comfortably beat Emprisa in the losers bracket final it was time for the grand final between k1ck and Logitech. In the group stage Logitech were surprised by a strong k1ck eSports side, would they be able to take down k1ck in the grand final? The answer is yes!

Once again, VAE.ET made some Lineup changes, to be able to participate in the upcoming ET tournaments, just like ESL Major Series, Clanbase Eurocup and so on.
As many of you know, RELOAd, JaKaZc and senji were helping out the team at the CDC ET tournament, so we had to fill the three empty spots in the Lineup. We would like to thank the Team Dignitas Management and their players once more, that they played for us at CDC #4.
Actually we found four people and three of them already played under the flag of VAE.

As you all know team EDiT (or whatever is left of it) was in need of a key player after the departure of snot. However this is not an easy task to fulfill. First of all it's hard to fit in with us on comms and ²ndly to pickup the position snot had in the team. We've looked around seeing who could suit us and we could only come up with one name. Give a round of applaus to ...
The dutch star player abort ! He has proven in the past to be "one of us" on comms as it's rare to find a dutchie that likes belgians so much. He has played with class teams before he joined the best team there is. K1ck , Random , Team nl to name a few.
The team will keep playing and irritating all online and offline tournaments. Starting with the CB EC XVII. We hope to stick around for as long as ET stands !
