Tonight we will see who will take the bronze medal this EuroCup and who's going to challange idle in the grand final! Both teams vying for the place in the grand final got knocked out of the winners bracket by idle and both want revenge. To get that revenge they got to play each other first to decide who's going on to face the ultimate challange again. This game between two great teams that have both shown us what they're made of. Of course I'm talking about zeroPoint and aMenti. These two teams are set up for an epic battle to decide who reaches the finals. Can aMenti do what they did last season under the ND name and end in the top two again or is it zeroPoint that will claim the final spot?
zeroPoint is a team made after QuakeCon, where four of them played. Butchji, darky and potter finished second at that prestigous event with the crossfire allstar team behind idle, while gifty took the bronze medal with KiH. After QuakeCon rapture, known from his time in saevus, and hatred, known from team beta and riZe, were taken on to round off the roster and make the team complete. Together they took on the challenge of beating idle this season. They joined zeroPoint in the end of September and didn't change their line-up since. As a team they have yet to land a top three placing in 6v6 competition. This team has got a lot of experience with three EuroCup winners and two players that took bronze in previous EuroCup seasons. zeroPoint certainly have everything they need to get into the final.
Finally after what seems an age CB have pulled out thier finger on cheating in ET. As you well know Clanbase Cheating and Abuse Policy was updated in November last year. A lot of work has been put in by #cheatbusters.et working closely with CB AC to bring the hackers to justice. People felt safe on publics to cheat, thought it was funny to cheat in the face of CB and it would go un-punished. "Too Late" i hear you cry and i fully agree, this has been too long coming but at least its finally arrived. No longer will it be tolerated and bans will be coming thick and fast over the next few weeks as we clear the backlog.
I'm under no illusions that cheating can be stamped out of ET and i would be foolish to even think it. I would like to ask for the help of all the server admins and players out there. If you suspect someone get pbss, take demos and make full use of the cheater report Here. There are lots of names hidden in the forum that are going through or being worked on at the moment. If a report has dissapeared dont worry its in the system. PBBans and PBS bans with IP address will be evidence and used to ban people depending on the offence, yawn shows the ban but isnt used in the process. Spoofed guids can be checked upon and will be spotted.
Here is a list of this weeks busts:
As i said this its been coming and its only the start of what can only be a good thing and i hope that some of the other leagues and cups follow suit. Thanks to TrgT for sticking by the bans for the forthcoming Benelux Cup III. Help us help you and report them all!!! You can check for bans now from CB Home Page click Bans and search for Enemy Territory.
Call of Duty hotshot Trigger has moved to TeK-9 for the shgOpen tournament. The lovable German has switched colours for one event only as TeK-9 are without their dutch star Knaller.
This leaves the allstar squad with the Real Madrid feel to it, and similar questions to be asked about the teams potential. Theres no doubting that this lineup offers potential to challenge the biggest names at the tournament, but only time will tell whether the gel in time to take gold at shgOpen.
Roll out the red carpet because today at 20:00 CET the great champions of this seasons NationsCup X will fight each other in what can be a thrilling end to a great NationsCup.
For some this NationsCup was played in the shadows of the EuroCup, but not today, today all eyes are on the two remaining Nations.
Only two are left from a field of 24 starting nations.
As 24 became 8, and 8 became 4 common sense tells us that 4 will eventually become 2.
In the right corner we have the NationsCup VI runners up and so far this season the undefeated team of Belgium.
And in the left corner stands none other then the winners of NationsCup VI and the runners up of NationsCup VII.
The almighty Finland.

Tonight its not only the final of the winners bracket of the EuroCup but there is a semi final too. This semi final is in the shadow of the game zeropoint vs idle . This game will decide who takes the 4th place this EuroCup and who is going to face the winners of the winners bracket match. This match will be played between Netrunners knocked out the winners bracket by zeropoint and aMenti that got knocked out of the winner bracket by idle.
Netrunners a stable team with some "old" and "new" school players. Gotti known from teams like TeamPoison, senseless-eSports and Team Poland. On the other hand they got Rio not that known before he joined Netrunners. Rio did win OpenCup division 3 with his previous clan uAznia and after that he joined Netrunners. That the team is stable is shown by the fact that they didn't had a lot of line-up changes. They got a team that did play and won the 5v5 lan in Poland and after that they did add Robol. Robol is a player that got some experience too. After playing with everto and polawka he joined Fear-Factory and now he made the step to Netrunners.
aMenti on the other hand is playing with a line-up full of players that did play EuroCup and/or NationCup before. They got some dangerous players with winghaven as one of the best soldiers and marv as a European Allstar. Their line-up got changed just a while ago. With Crozz going out and m1lk coming in there wont be so much delay anymore before finding a decent server. With m1lk new in the line-up they did beat cdap last week and they are ready to go for a top 3 place in the EuroCup again.
The history of mankind is a history of battles. While there have always been winners and losers, nobody was able to stay a winner forever. The huge Persian Empire, as powerful as it might have been, got defeated by Alexander the Great. The Roman Empire, after being nearly invincible for several centuries, eventually fell prey to the revolting Germanic people.
In 2007, an Enemy Territory team is on top of its success. Victorious at Quakecon and CPC#1, with no official 6on6 match lost in a year and one EuroCup title already in their bag they have set out to win the second one. The team is, as you should have figured out by now, the almighty idle.ee.
Facing them is a team that without a doubt can boast quite a lot of experience - Quakecon, CPC, EuroCup - most of them have been there, done that. Their steady road to this winner bracket final was not as flawless as the one of their opponents - zeropoint have actually dropped three maps on their way.
Tonight at 21:30 CET the first participant of the grand final will be decided. Currently 1170 ETTV slots and shoutcasts in four different languages should provide the necessary entertainment for a Thursday evening full of frags, grenades and selfkills.
With the shgOpen 2007 Enemy Territory tournament a mere twenty days away, and the first confirmed attendees announced, it is time to bring you some more information on the tournament. With over €5000 up for grabs in ET, and teams from across Europe competing, it promises to be an amazing event. Read on for the Enemy Territory tournament rules.
With signups for the event still open, it is unknown how many teams will be in competition, so any precise structure or schedule for the tournament is yet to be confirmed, however in all cases the tournament will kick off at 18:00 CET on Friday 16th February and conclude by mid-afternoon on Sunday 18th February, as indicated by the timetable on the shgOpen website.
The tournament will feature six maps - sw_goldrush, supply, braundorf_b4, frostbite, radar and sw_cathedral_b7, five of which are featured in the current ClanBase EuroCup season, with the final wildcard choice a returning map from 2004. The maps played in each match in the ET tournament will be selected at random, so competing teams are advised to prepare on them all. The server config will be identical to the current ClanBase ET 6v6 official config, with the exception of some changes to the netsettings restriction for LAN play.
The full provisional rules can be found on ClanBase
